Whilst this course is designed for medical professionals, it can be taken by anyone who would like to improve their knowledge of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. If you have suffered from pre-eclampsia during pregnancy and need support or expert medical advice, please access this through our website – apec.org.uk.
If you are pregnant, worried about your baby and / or think you are experiencing symptoms of pre-eclampsia, please contact your doctor or midwife immediately. All the medications discussed in this program should be prescribed by a doctor.
If you are worried about pre-eclampsia and wish to take a low dose aspirin or calcium supplement to reduce your risk of pre-eclampsia, you should make an appointment with your GP or Obstetric team for an assessment before starting any medication.
