APEC CEO Marcus Green and Chair of Trustees Prof Andrew Shennan have written a short commentary piece on the specific targeting of aspirin prescriptions in pregnancy, published this week.
Low dose aspirin, for the prevention of early onset pre-eclampsia is an established antenatal intervention; it is safe, effective, cheap and accessible in many health care settings but there are questions regarding prescribing it to everyone.
