On Thursday 17th September we held another study day in Manchester at the Hilton Doubletree. The day was a great success with fantastic feedback from speakers and delegates.

The day consisted of great presentations from our dedicated speakers. Firstly we heard from Dr Ellen Knox  Consultant in Maternal Medicine Birmingham Womens’ Hospital and Mr Nigel Simpson- Consultant Obstetrician Leeds General Infirmary before breaking for tea and cofffe. We then heard from Louisa Szuminski a Pre-eclampsia sufferer who bravely gave a touching presentation about her traumatic pre-eclampsia experience.
We then stopped for a delicious lunch which included many options from Broccoli and Stilton soup, Pork Loin and vegetables and a Spanish quiche, followed by various desert options.
After lunch we heard from Dr Jenny Myers- Senior Lecturer/Consultant, University of Manchester, Dr Fiona Fairlie- Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Jessop Wing, Sheffield Teaching Hospital and Dr. James Duffy- NIHR Doctoral Fellow Balliol College, University of Oxford.

All talks were very interesting and sparked a passionate response from all delegates.

We would like to thank everyone involved in our Manchester study day. The speakers and delegates for attending and all the staff at the Hilton Doubletree for all their help and providing us with a tasty lunch.

We are now looking forward to the next study day in London on Thursday 5th November.
